Establishing the format
I defined the geographic focus, selected a manageable set of developments, and created a concise explanatory voice that could continue across later issues. The series begins in spring, using seasonal change as a natural point of entry into regional environmental work.
Why a regional lens helps
National climate coverage can obscure the organizations, waterways, decisions, and projects closest to a reader. Sustainable585 narrows the frame so that environmental communication becomes more specific and locally useful.
